The world did not end on Saturday but it did today for Suzette's family!!! :)
It feels like it but we have next week to get her letter, life is good, I know she is busy working hard.
I really hope that today she went to play and recharge batteries.
See you next week!!
Suzette will be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Argentina Buenos Aires North from October 2010 to May 2012. Write her! She'll love it!

Splash and splash!! email from May 16, 2001
Yay! This weekend we had two baptisms. They were a long time coming. Marcela has wanted to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for about 3 years. It is all a long story but this weekend I got to witness the giant smile on her face as she came out of baptismal font, dripping wet but full of a peace and love that she won´t soon forget. What a wonderful blessing it was to have been joined this special day with her son Luis. What an amazing kid! Marcela told us that while chatting after the baptism, Luis told her that he felt a great peace and spirit of his deceased father and told her not to worry, that he is preparing to perform the same ordinance for his dad too. He is so pure and understands so much! He will be a great priesthood holder. Less than one year to go :)
So that was the highlight of my week. We are also teaching another family and 3 more men that just need to put fresh batteries in and get moving! The priesthood is serious business and so extremely crucial in the moving forward of this work!
Ok, quick profile on my beloved companion!
Hna Natalys Campos is from Copiapó Chile. She has nearly 15 months in the mission which means either I will be her last or at least she will die in Rio Gallegos (mission language for finishing the mission). She is such a jolly, happy soul. My other comps were the ´´silent until after we eat breakfast´´ types. Like, no talking, nothing until they are properly awake. I wake up and talk. Once I´m up, i´m up and it´s all good. Hna Campos takes the cake. Once she´s off her knees, she´s singing, humming and skipping a little as we exercise. As we stretch and warmup she´s also warming up her vocal chords. She makes me breakfast if I shower first, she shares everything and makes it so completely easy to be comfortable and love her. She´s always happy, smiling and even when she´s down (which is like saying when the sun is a little LESS bright) she´s seeing the positive, the good and making me laugh.
Because of her loving example, we clicked immediately and now I strive to be a little more like her. We get along so well that we talk for a good long while at the end of each day and share our thoughts and feeling about how we can improve and be better tomorrow. She is wonderful!
I love you guys and I hope you all know it. I was thinking I would write you a guilt trip but that´s unnecessary. I love you and I know you love me. Be good.
Ruth hit on the dot somehting i had been feeling recently too. It´s called 'the end of the Alaska feeling'. Now it takes about 5-6 months before y'all miss me :) I miss the hugs, the smiles and the laughs but hey, we have eternity, what´s 18 months?
Being here and having time EVERY DAY to study, reflect and apply the wonderful plan of Salvation, I KNOW that God loves us and that He knows and cares for us. I can´t wait to see Him again though there´s a LOT of work we´ve got to do before we get there.
FLOOD the earth with the BOOK OF MORMON. That´s what we need to do. Share your testimonies, if necessary, use words.
I know that Church is true. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and I know He lives. Because He lives, we have hope of a joyful eternity.
I love you soooo sooo sooo much.
We are as the armies of Helaman. We have been taught in our youth and we will be the Lord´s missionaries to bring the world His truth.
What an amazingly inspired song.
another song I love that Hna Salas had:
It was simple, from the heart
a quiet prayer was offered there before we had to part.
My mother kissed me softly as she sent me on my way
the school bus picked me up for my first day
through the window I waved goodbye
i saw my mother standing there and I wanted to cry
but then i started thinking about that little prayer,
asking Him to keep me in His care
I Know He loves me I know He´s there
and when I´m lonely or feeling scared,
Be with me Father, I call His name
He puts His arms around, He answers me with love
He watches over me from up above
Now I´m leaving to testify
My mother holds the tears back as she kisses me goodbye
I´ll serve the Lord with courage, I tell her as I go,
because a prayer was answered long ago
I know He loves me, I know He´s there
and when I´m lonely or feeling scared,
Be with me Father, I call His name
He puts His arms around, He answers me with love
He watches over me from up above
Love you, have a wonderful week. I pray for you daily and hope that when we meet again, we will all be a little better through our trials and tribulations (though my feet will be all calloused and legs thicker) :)
Love forever and ever, The church is True

Psyched you out!
But yes, writing a super quick, i love you note.
Went fishing today and it was like....fishing. Sitting around, having a good time, throwing things at the water and laughing with my favorite couple in our branch. I´ll send pictures of the poor fish we pulled out of the water and will probably be eating thursday. All in all a great p-day and i look forward to this week!
It was a BEAUTIFUL day and now I have sat on the rocky beaches of TWO oceans :) Who knew I would be sitting on the beach of the Atlantic ocean on a p-day this time last year?
If i didn´t say it yesterday or didn´t say it enough...I LOVE YOU GUYS! I LOVE you and because I love you and know that I get to keep you forever and ever and longer than our poor little human minds can imagine, I am here, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He lives and loves us and there are so many people in the world that don´t know or understand what that means for us. I am so grateful, like I said yesterday, that I was born of goodly parents. I have had the amazing blessing of living every day of my life thus far in the warm, miraculous bounds of the Holy Spirit. I have been blessed to have 4 amazingly hard working, diligent priesthood holders that are within arms reach (when I´m home... :) )
I love being here. I can not believe that it has been 6 months. Just remember that I am happy, no matter what. Seriously, ALWAYS happy.
I love you all

MOTHERS DAY CALL!!! email form May 2, 2011
Hi, remember that one time that we can skype again in T-minus 6 days?!?!?!
So here´s the dealio, I will be on a skype mostly capable comp unless
y´all want to talk instead...this time I would have a for sure
functioning camera.......
7 o´clock my time sound good? If so, it´s a date!! Your time....4? I
have a phone number but only for MY church building which is where we
will be calling my comp´s fam around 5ish......I´ll try and get the
other church´s number for you but no promises....
No the real email:
TRANSFERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I STAYED!!!
BUT................
Hna Salas has left me..... :( I miss her so much already. I learned to
love her in all her crazy ways. She is honestly a life-changing
example for me. She told me the things like they are without any
sugar-coating....ever. Always direct and frank. I love her and wish
her all the best for her new area in BS AS! She left this morning on
the same plane that brought my new comp HNA CAMPOS!!!!!!!!!!! hahah
another Chilena :) no joke. I love it though. I was hoping, wishing,
praying for another latino comp if Hna Salas left so that my spanish
wouldn´t go down at all. I LOVE Hna Campos!!! I had met her and talked
a few times in the reunions in BS AS and now we´re companions! LOVE
IT!
She is a doll, i love her sense of humor already and she sings all the
time! In a sweet, disney princess way. Hahaha maybe i think that
because I heard her singing and humming while scrubbing the toilet and
tub. Very ´Enchanted¨ hum, a little working song...la la la
Hnos Urquia (nuestro líder misional y su esposa la pres de la
primaria) took us to the airport early this morning and brought us
back to the apartment.
This week had been all this culminating energy to a fantastic weekend
and then plop. CHANGE!
Familia Winter (Fernanda, my first baptism down here, Astrid and Moira
both baptized and their little bro Danko and mom, also Fernanda) were
crying so much last night when Hna Salas called to say goodbye that
they didn´t sleep a wink and all missed school. Poor girls were so
attached and the whole family will be waiting for the moment she
finishes the mission and can go and visit them again. I LOVE this
family and know the same thing will happen everytime a sister leaves.
So sad!
So we packed, talked, wrote goodbye letters, packed and talked a lot,
ate a little and got the apartment ready for a departure and arrival.
We have SO many things ahead of us this month. i know that May will be
a fantabulous and miraculous month. All of april was preparing,
challenging and guiding our investigators to this month where they
will march, head held high, dressed all in white to make sacred
covenants with the Father in the waters of baptism.
I wish i could have a way to teleport myself around rio gallegos to be
able to cut down wasted walking time. I want to be IN the
houses....(not just because I´m cold, which the cold is gone now by
the way, i´m all good. My nose runs but just because of the wind that
makes my eyes water :) ) I want to be with the people, talking to
them, helping them see that life HAS a PURPOSE and that we have a
Savior who made possible a merciful plan that we can be so
unbelievably happy we can´t even begin to imagine it now. Well, maybe
a little. Every time there is harmony and love at home, we are closer
to Him. Every time we search, study and APPLY the scriptures, we have
the Spirit with us. Every time we serve with our whole hearts and
think more of others than ourselves, it is also then that we are doing
good with the name of Christ that we took upon us the day we were
baptized.
I love this gospel. I am forever grateful for the opportunity i have
to be here and to serve the Lord with all my might, mind and soul.
I love you guys,. and i would LOVE to know what is going on in ALL of
your lives....eh? little ones?
Well, until we talk! LOVE YOU!
Hna Gonzalez
Moroni 8:3 always is my feeling for you.

On Mother's day we were able to skype with Suzette, these are some of the pictures of the wonderful call!!
April 25, 2011
I try to keep Suzette updated with what is going on with her friends around here, so this is what she received as part of my letter to her this week:
Chelsey Alise Jewkes enters the MTC on April 27th, going to New Mexico
Rachel Kitto entered the MTC on March 16th Currently serving in the Chile Osorno Mission
Angela Mary Knudsen, Roland Merle Brown are geetting married in the SLC Temple on Saturday, May 7
Dave Schwitzer & Kalee Gonzalez are getting married! On May 7th.
Casey Greer and Kristin gettin hitched! Hey everyone! We're getting married in San Diego on May 14th, but will later have an open house up in Utah.
Chase and Janessa Lamb are finally tying the knot! Friday, May 13
Chase Wootton & Allison Moore are getting married! Saturday, May 14 in the Mt Timpanogos Temple.
Heather McRae and Todd Decker wedding reception Saturday, May 21, McRae backyard: Mesa, AZ
Dave Boyer and Abi Heaps are getting HITCHED !!!! Friday, June 3 Salt Lake Temple, Provo Library
Ali Baker is engaged to Rob Lowe, getting married on July 14th, Timpanogos Temple.
Ashley and Bryson's Wedding Reception Friday, June 10, Back Yard Reception
And her response:
uuuuuuhh......wow. Could MORE people be getting married??? Yeeah! At the same time that it breaks my heart to be missing a lot of those, I´m happy for all of them. Tell Roland I love him and wish him and Angie all the happiness in the world.
Dave has been home less than a year, Randy too? I don´t remember now but everyone is sure paying attention at conference nowadays and obeying the counsel of Elder Scott. Everyone wants to know the joys of marriage he was talking about! :) I am HAPPY for them!!
Now her letter:
Really quickly, I got the stuff and have a couple more things you could look for for me. :) Thank you!
There are these awesome bookmarks with the Book of Mormon chapters all on it like by book with all the chapters in Boxes so one could mark them as they go along reading them. Know what I mean? I figured you could check deseret book or seagull to see if they´ve got them. It would be amazing to give them to recent converts so they have a way to mark their progress.
It´s getting colder now and will only get colder. I will have to buy boots at some point I think (maybe in a couple weeks) because the rain that falls will start to frost and the tripping over my feet and falls need to NOT happen. So many sisters have broken things like arms or wrists falling or slipping in the winter. Ooops. Well, I'll be taking care.
OK, this week was PHENONMENAL and the weekend was unbelievable. We have great investigators and had District conference this weekend. Pres Gulbrandsen came down for the conference and our zone conference and so did.......dum dah dah dum.....
ELDER MARCOS AIDUKAITIS. If you don´t know who that is, consult your nearest conference ensign and his is the first, most giant smile you find in the quorum of the 70. Seriously, I don´t know how his face doesn´t split when he smiles and how so much love is trapped in his very tall body.
We have the privilege of being taught personally by him. Not the whole mission. There were 13 of us in a room with an Elder of the 70 who is often in the presence of the first presidency and quorum of the 12 rindiendo cuentas por el área Sudamerica Sur. WOW!!!! I can just tell you that he is an amazing missionary and I want to be more like him and share my testimony without vergüenza.
I love this work. I love my savior.
Love you all,
Sammy, chin up my dear brother. You are a FANTASTIC person and it brought a tear to my eye that you use my scriptures. It´s so tender! Love you!!
Oh PS the District Pres challenged us to read the book of mormon by the end of the year.....then E´Aidukaitis challenged us to do it in 3 months...like the real time it took Joseph Smith to translate it.........Here´s an Idea.....
Let´s do it TOGETHER!!!!! Starting tonight, we´ll finish in july? I´ll make a better count and we´ll go. But start now!
Love you!
